Standing at the front of my classroom, I felt the
surge of fear hit me like a tidal wave...
It was a panic attack that would change the trajectory
of not only my career, but my entire life.
After a paramedic visit and a day spent in hospital being poked and prodded, the doctor handed me a diagnosis:
Chronic Stress & Anxiety.
Over the next six months, I made some big changes.
I sought professional support, and began to research
and explore different ways to improve my health...
The common theme I found was that health & wellbeing advice was complicated and often contradictory.
So I got myself a coach, then later a counsellor.
I started small, making manageable changes to my habits: how I ate, how I slept, how I set boundaries,
how I managed my stress.
Slowly but surely, I began to see a light at the end
of the tunnel. Not just in how I felt day-to-day,
but in my overall outlook on life!
That’s when it clicked...
If I was a teacher struggling in the sea of diet dogma, unrealistic wellbeing wisdom and unhelpful health advice, there must be so many others!
Soon after, I began my qualifications.
First as a Nutritionist, then a Coach and finally a Mental Health & Exercise Coach. Over the next two years I went part time, then eventually left the classroom as I knew it.
And now, six years later, I help teachers and school staff not only avoid burnout themselves, but rewrite their own wellbeing so they can live their healthiest, happiest lives!

and the demands of the job in a way that not many
can truly understand.
